The Dock Street Story
Dan Ogden founded Dock Street in 1989, not as a former banker or broker, but as a seasoned entrepreneur with a deep respect for successful businesses.
He built his career from the ground up, starting with a chimney sweeping business. He has often said he was best suited to be his own boss, and his early ventures helped him learn to build independent success. After a setback from a failed business deal, he took a different path, exploring New York City real estate and commodities. It was his real-world understanding of different industries and the challenges of building a business that led him to establish Dock Street.
Dan spent three decades learning firsthand about what it takes to succeed before launching Dock Street. Now, he’s spent another three decades building a firm that helps business owners achieve success for themselves.
We now use Dan’s entrepreneurial insights and our team’s expertise to help business owners invest beyond their own companies, having their savings create a second engine of compounding wealth.
